Paris Winfrey is the Assistant Director for Ascend WV. Paris grew up in Fairmont, WV and attended West Virginia University as an undergraduate marketing student before moving to Thailand to work as a program coordinator for Outpour Movement, where he developed and delivered various educational and community focused programs. Paris is used to getting second glances now that he’s back in Morgantown – you may have seen him in a few iconic “Let’s Go” photos featured around campus! His passion for adventure and charismatic energy makes the perfect match for his role, where he guides his team and Ascenders alike through all that West Virginia has to offer. Outside of work (and occasionally during), you can find Paris rock climbing, hiking and mountain biking. He’s also a fantastic singer - he won Mountaineer Idol in 2012!
