Nick Morales

Nick Morales is the Multimedia Content Creator for the Smith OEDC. His work as a storyteller through photo and video features the incredible opportunities available in the state and highlights the work the Smith OEDC is doing to ignite the state’s economy and enhance quality of life for West Virginians through outdoor recreation.

Nick worked in the service industry managing restaurants for most of his professional career, but have been behind a camera since he was 15 years old. He worked at WVU’s University Relations as a student photographer during undergrad where he pursued an MDS degree in business, political science and economics. This is where he fell in love with West Virginia and the outdoors. 

The outdoors drives Nick’s curiosity, provides opportunities to find beauty in nature and allows him to push himself. It's also helped Nick build and incredible community of other passionate and like-minded people. When Nick’s not producing photo and video, you can find him racing mountain bikes, climbing and jumping in the local swimming hole. He also loves cars, motorcycles, and working on anything with an engine, along with kicking-back with a craft beer!
