Jessica Sutton

Jessica Sutton is the Outdoor Community Development Manager at the Brad and Alys Smith Outdoor Economic Collaborative. Prior to this role, she served as the Greater Elkins Area Experience Coordinator for Ascend WV, demonstrating her dedication to building vibrant communities. With over 20 years of public service experience in state and local government, Jessica now leverages her expertise to impact communities statewide.

Being active outdoors  keeps Jessica motivated, whether floating down the river with friends, carving down a snowy mountain on a bluebird day, or finishing an ultramarathon. She shares  her active lifestyle with the youth in Elkins through coaching. For the last seven years, she's coached cross-country  running at Elkins Middle School. " To see a young athlete put in the effort to realize their potential and strive for their goals is one of the most satisfying feelings I've experienced," she says.

In her time outside of work and coaching, you might find Jessica trail running, snowboarding, or playing ultimate frisbee before enjoying the evening with her favorite local beverage - Big Timber Seltzer.
